These might be right for some people, but they weren't what I was looking for. My bad. I bought them for the color change, but because each has to be controlled individually, and you have to be close by to control them, and they don't remember last settings, they are kind of a pain. On the good side, they come on in color change mode, and stay in synch at least 24 hours. An issue on quality: on the the units I received the circuit board with the LEDs was not fixed inside the body, it appeared to have been placed into a blob of thermo conductor, not adhesive. Only one had screws holding it in place. Easy thing to fix though. I bought these to replace them: http://www.banggood.com/6W-LED-Flood-Spot-Light-With-RodandCap-For-Garden-Yard-IP65-DC-12-24V-p-941461.html Fixed white (RGB white). All the brightness I need, the rgb sparkle on the leaves I wanted, and I like the look better as well. I'll use these units inside in the future.
purchased two of these for use as "headlights" on bicycles. both work well. battery powered in this application, so current draw was of interest. here's what i measured for each of the main colors at bright/dim levels: red 170ma/30ma, green 290ma/50ma, blue 250ma/50ma, white 550ma/100ma. note that the remote is (unexpectedly) IR, and only works when pointed directly into the lens of the light. range on both of mine seems to be about 5 ft max. i would purchase these again.
